 Role Summary

 

This position is responsible for the administration work of the company’s collections, credit, and contract/legal activities as well as product billing and reconciliation. 

 Responsibilities

 Maintaining a collection program that keeps customer receivables in a current and open to buy condition. Minimize losses due to bad debt by providing up front analysis of credit worthiness of ongoing and potential customers. Provide oversight/supervision to the credit and collections functions of the company’s subsidiary and foreign operations. Provide assistance to the sales staff in negotiating sales terms and conditions designed to address both Pearl River and customer needs. Participate in the negotiation of all contracts/agreements (terms and conditions, down payments, progress payments, etc.) that are mutually acceptable to both Pearl River and the customer/supplier.  Lead, mentor, and develop the technical expertise of direct reports. Maintain departmental policies and procedures that support the company initiatives and maintain the controls necessary to assure successful implementation. Maintain a strategy of continuous improvement regarding policies and procedures related to credit collections billing and contract negotiations.

 

 

Qualifying Criteria

We require:

 Bachelor’s degree in business, management, or related field. MBA preferred 2-4 plus years of credit and collection experience. Credit and Commercial Law Understanding of best practices for credit and collections Strong analytical and problem solving skills Ability to speak Mandarin and Cantonese a plus.
