Business Analyst

Hospitality The Accounting Business Analyst will document and diagram processes and communicate project requirements associated with third party applications to both technical and non-technical audiences.  This person will be aid in the installation and rollout of new applications to various business units.  Additionally, this person will have daily tasks associated with the maintenance, running, and support of third party applications.  The person must have good communication and people skills.   
Risk assessment and analysis of business impact on the Point of Sales Accounting system or related accounting systems.
Assist in installing additional POS systems or replacing old systems/swapping out hardware.  Document all system and business processes.
Analyzing and beta testing of the system including upgrading, balancing, consistency, logic, mapping and security of the program before implementation and roll out.
Work with various levels of employees in different departments to ensure the system is providing accurate data.
Work with both Guest Services and Marketing Departments that currently use the POS system on system issues and documenting processes.
 Daily polling and processing of POS activity into the home office for reporting and analyses.
Work with Ticket Clerks to help coordinate ticket orders and balance inventory levels on a weekly basis.
Work with POS vendor to ensure accuracy in reporting and customization of software
Work with IT on local area network related issues and problems.
Create and verify the journal entries before uploading into the financial system. This process is to ensure the premium cost and sales revenue/cost are accurate
Beta test and initiate the update for the Home Office system
Assist in training of Accountants on how to gather data from the POS system to record in the financial
Print and prepare multiple POS home office reports for marketing ticket sales and premiums for journal entry preparation. This is much like any data export process

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.  Course work in Information Technology is also required.  Three years of accounting or closely related experience required.  Information Technology experience in an accounting or finance environment preferred.
