Job Description:


Join the team responsible for Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) internal control oversight for Fireman’s Fund Insurance Company.  The ideal candidate will have a BA/BS in a finance related field and four years of multifaceted experience in either the finance or insurance industry.  The person in this role should be an expert on multiple end-to-end business process flow which ultimately will impact financial results. Additionally, this job will require the ability to multitask and handle complex projects with minimal direction, strong analytical and problem solving skills, excellent communication and team-work skills and broad knowledge of systems and business processes.


 


Job Responsibilities:


 


Evaluate financial risks and key controls


Identify missing/mitigating controls


Work with business partners to remediate deficiencies


Act as a liaison between management, business partners and external auditors


Facilitate management walkthrough regarding SOX compliance, guidance and quality control


Prepare compliance research and analysis

Excellent communication and team-work skills
