Technical requirements :
Our client, located in the West Houston area, is seeking an Assistant Controller to direct and lead the organization's accounting functions. Responsibilities include establishing and maintaining the company’s accounting principles, practices, and procedures. Assist in the preparation and evaluation of budgets and financial operating reports, and presents findings and recommendations to management. This position will report to the Corporate Controller. The company is publically traded with international offices.


Candidates should have some experinence with :
– 10 years experience in accounting
Knowledge of US GAAP, specifically as it applies to the oil and gas industry
International experience a plus
Assistance in drafting SEC reports
Oracle experience a plus
Bachelors degree in Accounting
Experience in budgeting, planning and financial reporting
Strong analytical skills
Strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills
