Description:
Overall responsibility for Financial Reporting for Royal Alliance Associates. This position provides the firm’s management with comprehensive, detailed analyses and recommendations relating to the broker dealer’s business and financial management functions.

Major Job Responsibilities
Overall Responsibility for month-end close of Royal Alliance.

Responsibility for Approval, Review and Sign off on journal entries and General Ledger Account Reconciliations.

Ensure Compliance with AIG Reconciliation Guidelines and GAAP.

Responsible for the review of income statement and balance sheet accounts, aging of receivables and product line ratios and trends to ensure the accuracy of reported amounts.

Responsible for analytic and accurate reporting that highlights business trends.

Prepare FOCUS report, Net Capital computation and supporting work-papers (i.e. balance sheet, income statement etc. ) to ensure Compliance with NASD and SEC rules and regulations.

Responsible for completing annual audit supporting schedules and assisting with annual audit information requests.

Responsible for completing and analyzing special projects as requested by the CFO and Controller.

Ensure the accuracy of commission cycle balancing and posting of the commission cycle journal entries.

Research Budget variances and assist in the Budgeting process.

Responsible for Establishing, Maintaining and Evaluating internal Accounting controls in accordance with Internal Audit and Sarbanes-Oxley as well as identifying ways to improve and enhance internal controls in the current regulatory environment.

Ensure implementation of Internal Audit GAP findings.

Manage staff of 2 Accountants.

Daily interaction and coordination with other members of the finance support staff.

Maintain effective relationships with Senior Management, PriceWaterhouseCoopers audit team, Commission and other various departments staff.
