Hypercom is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to join the finance team in our Phoeinix Corporate Headquarters. 

 

 



DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 Compiles and sorts documents.Pays invoices by verifying transaction information, scheduling and preparing disbursements and obtaining authorization for payment.Prepares invoice deduction notices.Maintains accounts payable ledgers by posting account transactions.Verifies accounts by reconciling statements and transactions.Resolves account discrepancies by investigating documentation and making adjustments.Answers vendor inquires regarding payment schedule and terms.Maintains financial security by following internal accounting controls.Prepares checks and obtains the required signatures prior to distribution.Maintains financial historical records by filing accounting documents. Adheres to performance and productivity standards established by manager.

 

 

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:Associate of Arts degree in Accounting or related education required.  Two years accounts payable experience may substitute for the required education. 3 yrsOne year accounts payable experience required.Oracle experience preferred.Bi-lingual in Spanish and/or Portuguese a plus.
