Kenworth of Alabama’s Corporate Accounting Department, located in Birmingham, AL, provides accounting and operations support for our dealerships in Birmingham, Dothan, Mobile and Montgomery. Accounts Payable Specialist

 

Due to company expansion, Kenworth of Alabama is seeking an experienced accounts payable specialist to join our corporate accounting team. The successful candidate will be an integral part of our accounts payable process. Responsibilities will include processing invoices and payments for miscellaneous corporate vendors and inventory vendors, assisting with expense account analysis, communications with management and vendors and special projects. This is a fast-paced, multi-faceted position with high expectations where you are rewarded for doing exceptional work. A passion for excellence and a high degree of attention to detail are critical.

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:  

 

·         2 year accounting or related degree preferred but not required

·         3 years accounts payable experience that includes expense allocations and vendor statement reconciliation in a multiple company/multiple profit center environment

·         Accounting and/or bookkeeping experience preferred

·         Intermediate to advanced competency in Excel and Microsoft applications

·         Experience should include Internet, Intranet and custom Windows applications in a network environment

·         Excellent written and verbal communication skills

·         Ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment

·         High degree of attention to detail
