Accounts Payable Secretary
Darden Restaurants is recruiting for a Secretary to work within the Accounts Payable Department at the world’s largest casual dining headquarters located in south Orlando.
Qualified candidates should be interested in becoming part of a dynamic group of professional, dedicated and team-oriented individuals. We are looking for those who have a strong attention to detail and focus on 100% accuracy. A can-do attitude with an exceptional customer service mindset is crucial to the success of this employee.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE
• Order office supplies and monitor usage by personnel.
• Coordinate maintenance requests for various office equipment
• Maintain various department listings including store listings, distribution lists, and phone lists.
• Answer telephones and direct various department calls to appropriate personnel.
• Maintain forms cabinet. Order forms from Print Shop as needed to replenish supply.
• Maintain spare sets of keys for department desks and files. Coordinate having spare sets made when needed.
• Update department calendar, address listings, and organizational charts.
• Update Chart of Accounts and distribute to coordinators and supervisors.
• Distribute liquor checks to Admin Support specialist.
• Update DAS sample signatures
• Receive and log all checks made payable to GMRI and its subsidiaries. Obtain proper account number for posting and forward checks to Corporate Control for deposit.
• Backup for Gift Card Recon Specialist by assisting with on-line gift card orders and balancing when needed.
• Enter invoices in Oracle and audit recap sheet.
• Assist the department Director with various things including reviewing and distributing the Director's mail, typing as needed, and assistance with miscellaneous department functions.
• Assist Accounts Payable supervisors with various typing.
• Assist with month-end processing including keying journal entries.
• Special projects as requested.
A QUALIFIED CANDIDATE WILL POSSESS
Excellent communication skills
Strong organizational skills
Ability to interact well with all levels of management by phone and in person
Ability to perform work with minimal prompting and supervision
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced, high volume environment
Pleasant, professional phone skills
Positive, helpful attitude, teamwork spirit, strong interpersonal skills
Self-starter with excellent attendance
Strong follow through and attention to detail
Proficient knowledge of Outlook, Excel, and Word
Preference given to Oracle and Discoverer experience
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
High school diploma or equivalent required
Salary begins at $28,200
