Accounting Manager

Our client offers an environment that supports rotation into other department every 18-24 months.  We are looking for an individual with a desire to work towards increasing levels of responsibility and challenge.

 

Duties include:Responsible for all accounting aspects for this department including supervision of staff, financial analysis, work with operations executives, and initiate/drive continuous improvement.Supervise and perform month-end closing activities, including appropriate and timely support for corporate and business unit closing schedules.Identify potential financial risks; communicate these risks to Management and direct final disposition of related items.Manage the relationship between this department and business units.Coordinate the annual hard-close review process.Coordinate both Internal and External Audit requirements including Sarbanes-Oxley Legislative initiatives.Develop common procedures and practices to streamline operations.

 

Candidates must be either U.S. Citizens or Green Card Holders in order to be considered for this position. Relocation assistance could be available.

Experience/Education requirements:4+ years of public accounting or 6+ years of public and private accounting experience or 7+ years of progressive private experience.Managerial leadership and team management experience.Excellent knowledge of GAAP, general accounting, and financial account analysis.Strong technical, analytical and problem solving skills.Strong oral and written communication skills.BA/BS in Accounting or Finance (accounting preferred)CPA or MBA preferred
