Accounting Assistant

Accounting Assistant-Honeywell - 12 month Contract
Position in the Revenue Accounting department in Phoenix AZ(Sky Harbor location).

Responsibilities include processing and mailing a large volume of invoices for Engines & Systems group on a daily basis requiring 24-hour turnaround.
Interfaces with interface with external and internal customers / personnel and provide back-up support to other team members.

Primary duties include, but not limited to: sorting and mailing invoices, sales order reconciliation and corrections, and other misc. billings including: advance payment, non-recurring engineering, inter-company and various other. Work closely with various departments including Contracts, Shipping, and Global Credit and Treasury Services to ensure timely billing and payment. preparation of invoices and handlding reconciliations.

Requirements:
BS degree in Accounting, Finance or related field, (OR) AS plus accounting experience. Knowledge of accounting, business theory and principles, analysis and systems.
PC & Mainframe systems skills
Problem solving skills
Self-motivated
Good interpersonal skills, with ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Ability to adjust to changes in work environment, and meet tight deadlines
Adept at prioritizing work and coordinating tasks simultaneously
