Accounting Analyst

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: 

·  Support monthly accounting close process, including preparation and review of journal entries

·  Perform account reconciliations and analysis of general ledger accounts

·  Annual preparation of footnotes for financial reporting

·  Develop an understanding of accounting/operation software systems

·  Research global application of accounting policies and reserves

·  Liaison with the accounting policy, treasury, operations, and/or tax personnel

·  Provide support to internal and external auditors as needed and requested

·  Support Sarbanes-Oxley compliance

·  Create training and education materials on various accounting areas

·  Support of Six Sigma processes and projects



ESSENTIAL SKILLS 

·  Demonstrate a solid grasp of business concepts, realistic judgment, and quantitative and critical thinking skills.

·  Maintain data integrity and accuracy and use data to identify and solve problems.

·  Plan, organize and prioritize multiple tasks within a defined time period.

·  Candidates must possess an undergraduate degree (BA, BBA, BS) as well as a CPA. Majors desired are Accounting, Finance, or Business.

·  Ideal candidates would have 3+ years of solid, relevant work experience in "Big 4" public accounting, treasury and/or manufacturing.
